Shanghai Keyontechs Co., Ltd. was honored to receive a very special guest: our founder, Mr. Gong Wenhui.

His visit was not just a reunion; it was a bridge connecting our ambitious beginnings in 1992 with our global vision for the future.

From Commercial Success to Global Service

Mr. Gong’s story is an integral part of our company’s DNA. He established Luoyang Keyon Instrument Co., Ltd. in 1992 in Luoyang City. In those early days, Keyon operated primarily as a trading company, bridging the gap between East and West by importing high-quality instrumentation from Europe and America to the Chinese market.

His vision and business acumen were transformative. Under his leadership, the company thrived, and Mr. Gong achieved immense commercial success, notably becoming the first millionaire in his hometown.

In 2001, the company was relocated to Shanghai. Then, Mr. Gong made a pivotal decision that changed the trajectory of both his life and the company. Identifying Mr. Zhou Ren as a capable leader, Mr. Gong recruited him, sold all his shares, and handed over the reins of the company completely.

A Journey of Faith and Learning

Leaving the corporate world behind, Mr. Gong moved his entire family to Africa to become a Christian missionary. Driven by a desire to do more for mankind and serve a higher calling, he dedicated his life to humanitarian and spiritual work.

To better serve his mission, Mr. Gong never stopped learning. Since leaving the business world, he has pursued rigorous academic goals, impressively earning: 2 Doctorate Degrees and 4 Master’s Degrees

Passing the Torch

In 2023, 31 years after Mr. Gong founded the company, we are glad to welcome home our founder. During his revisit, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and nostalgia. Mr. Zhou Ren personally gave Mr. Gong a tour of the facilities, showcasing the evolution of Keyontechs.

Mr. Gong was able to see the transformation from the trading company he founded to the manufacturing and engineering powerhouse we are today. He witnessed the modern production lines, our R&D progress, and our expansion into the global flow meter market.

The visit concluded with Mr. Gong speaking to the new generation of Keyontechs employees. He offered words of wisdom and encouragement, urging the young engineers and sales teams to continue innovating and serving our customers with integrity.

It was a powerful reminder that while technology changes, the spirit of dedication—whether in business or in service to humanity—remains constant.
